Taking a Chance on Shallots

I noticed that the organic shallots in our allium hanger had sprouted so checked YouTube for a video and found that they should have been planted two weeks ago but the lady in the video planted hers a little late and I decided to take the chance too. I split the two hunks of shallot into four pieces and planted them in one of the raised beds that has mostly strawberries. I might move the strawberries this year but the shallots' foliage is distinctive enough that I should be able to leave them be. And maybe in three to four months I'll have my first ever shallot harvest.  Do you like shallots?  Happy spring!
